McDonald's has said it is trying to end the matter amicably.
McDonald's resolved two lawsuits last year over trademark infringement, including one in which it was the defendant. In September, McDonald's lost a legal battle with a restaurant in Malaysia named "McCurry." In November, the chain settled a dispute with an Eden Prairie, Minn., restaurant over the chain's use of the restaurant's "Who's Your Patty?"
